From inside the app
If you still have access to Uforia on your device, this is the fastest path:
- 01Open Uforia and sign in.
- 02Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- 03Tap Continue, then enter your password to confirm.
Your profile and content disappear from Uforia immediately. You then have a 30-day recovery window. If you sign back in within that period, your account is restored. After 30 days, deletion becomes permanent and irreversible.
By email
If you’ve uninstalled the app, can’t sign in, or otherwise can’t reach the in-app flow, write to us:

- Includethe email address or username you registered with, so we can locate the right account.
We acknowledge requests within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity.
Cancel any active subscription first
Uforia subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your Uforia account does not automatically cancel them.
If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the platform first:

- AndroidPlay Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Uforia → Cancel
What we delete
When deletion becomes permanent, we erase:
- 01Your profile, username, bio, photos, and avatar
- 02Posts, moments, comments, and reactions
- 03Photos, videos, and voice messages you sent in chats
- 04Dating profile, prompts, matches, and personality data
- 05Face embeddings
- 06Engagement data: likes, saves, views, and profile-view records
- 07Push notification tokens
- 08All stored files across every storage bucket associated with your account
- 09Your authentication record, so your email becomes available for new registration
What we retain, and for how long
A small amount of data stays: the messages other people received from you, and what legal and abuse-prevention reasons need.
None of it is processed for any other purpose.
- 7 daysEncrypted backups: may persist for up to 7 days on a rolling overwrite cycle, then are automatically and irreversibly overwritten.
- 12 monthsMinimal compliance log: your registered email address, the IP address recorded at signup, and the selfie frames captured during identity verification, retained for 12 months from the day your account is erased (about 13 months after your request) and then automatically purged. This log does not prevent you from re-registering with the same email.
- 3 yearsBanned accounts only: if your account was suspended for violating our Terms of Service (including child safety violations), your account data is retained in full for 3 years from the date of the ban. We send a notification email 48 hours before erasure. This retention supports ban evasion prevention (via face embedding comparison), defense of legal claims, and preservation of evidence for law enforcement cooperation.
- In chatsMessages you sent: the text stays in each conversation for the people you sent it to, shown as from “Deleted User”. Your photos, videos, and voice messages are deleted.
- UnlinkedRecords with your account removed: purchase records and the consent shown before each purchase (for refund and chargeback disputes), reports and moderation decisions, support tickets, and our admin log entries. Each loses its link to your account and your username.
